Meet Jessica

Jessica has been dyeing yarn for more than 15 years, but her journey began with a single rebellious sock. While knitting, she noticed the yarn pooling in an unexpected way—and when the internet couldn’t explain why, curiosity took over. She grabbed some undyed yarn, bought her first dyes, and set out to solve the mystery herself.

What started as experimentation quickly grew into a passion. Before long, she realized she had created more beautiful yarn than she could ever knit in a lifetime. That spark led to Killer Bee Yarn, where she’s continued to refine her craft, build a dedicated dye studio, and develop a deep love for color, fiber, and the creative community around them.

When she’s not running, knitting, or exploring the outdoors, you’ll find Jessica in her studio hand-dyeing yarn. Much of her inspiration comes from nature, and she’s passionate about offering high-quality, thoughtfully dyed yarn for makers of every kind.
